Factory limos of any kind are not too common, and that one is certainly rare, and a limo version of a very desirable car. It’s even got a good story behind it, and would make a beautiful and unique vehicle if restored. But... I think there’s absolutely not a breath of a market for it at that price point. People will pay nearly an order of magnitude more for a VW 23-window, which is no more special, no more unique, no harder to restore/rebuild (nor easier)... but I don’t think this will sell, unless it finds That One Guy. I don’t think he exists, but it would be great to be proven wrong.

Reminds me of the Yellowstone coaches.

Hopefully it would also appeal to WWII collectors, but I agree that the market is probably very small. I hope it’s listed in a lot of places other than craigslist. I’d love to see that all cleaned up and running.

It’s among the best executed limos I can imagine, because it actually came together on the factory floor. No awkward seams, perfect lines, perfect fitment of all stock doors, panels, trim, and the decorative cap. In a word, elegant, and it finds a happy medium between streamliner bus and streamliner car. Very few things of the era succeeded that well, with the exception of a bunch of REO, Diamond T, International, and Dodge Airflow coach specials. Even the famous Flxible bus company wouldn’t hit its stride for a couple of years.

Comparison with the Whites is probably deserved, also with the very earliest airport taxis. The Whites at Glacier and Yellowstone were never built in great numbers, so I have mixed feelings about the extent to which they were modernized for continued use.
